Profilit is a specialist architectural glazing system manufactured by Pilkington in Germany, and comprises of 4 metre long (max) “U” shaped 262 mm wide x 41 mm deep glass planks which have many uses within the commercial field. The system can be used vertically or horizontally in single or double glazed (double wall) configuration with wired glass, and subject to specification is suitable for internal or external wall applications where large areas of diffused natural light are desirable. Although normally setout in straight lines the system can be successfully applied to curves (minimum 2 metre radius), and in double wall applications has good thermal properties whilst providing reduced sound transference and high security levels. In line with its normal company policies Bell Glass will happily provide free technical & design advice together with a cost estimate/quotation - all of which is offered on a non-obligatory basis. |
