Often flat roof extensions are added to a
residential property in order to increase floor space, but alas
regardless of the amount of windows added to the extension the end
result can be a significant loss of natural daylight (or sunlight)
into the main area of the property. A great solution to overcome
this is via the addition of a pyramid roof light in the flat roof to
the extension. Such enhancements will certainly form a pleasant
visual feature, and add life to the floor area. There are numerous cheap prefabricated small roof lights on the market many of which are polycarbonate glazed, however Bell Glass do not fabricate or install such models and only specialise in superior purpose made larger roof lights which are constructed from PVCU components to match conservatory structures, and which are double glazed ideally making use of Pilkingtons self cleaning glass. All rooflights include trickle air ventilation at the apex. There is no such thing as a standard size roof light, but if the roof light is to be incorporated within an existing flat roof structure then a size of 1200mm x 1200mm (40 x 40) will likely mean a more simpler installation between the roof joists. Bell Glass will be happy to provide a price or advice on roof lights of any size. |
